my hidden passion

I love nature. Especially unadulterated nature.

Aside from reading, my greatest passion is environmental protection. though i am not a member of any organization that protects the environment, i had always believed that i could still do it even if im alone.

I always hate seeing animals inside enclosures. I never liked to see barren mountains. It hurts to hear animals being slaughtered for money.

I always wanted to do something for them. I want to help. I may not have enough resources that could really amount to something, but i know that it is not only with money one can help preserve mother nature.

I am a student, a mass communicator, a student journalist.

I can help. In my own little way i can help. But i dont know which way is that.

There are countless ways, but which one can i perform?

I hope i can do something.

Animals too, has the right to live!

When God created the world he never said that only man has the right to live. All other creatures, big or small, has the right to live in this world. Like a human being they have the right to be free.

But what are we doing?

Humans are selfish. Why can't we just allow birds to fly freely or fishes to explore the depths of the oceans? Why do we have to capture them and put them in enclosures? We often rationalize that we put them there to save them, but truth is, we dont want to admit that we are selfish enough to think only of our happiness. We put them there not to save them but only for our enjoyment. We put them in cages not to preserve them but to please ourselves.

Birds were made to fly but not inside a four sided enclosure. Fishes are for the oceans and the seas, not inside glass tanks we call aquariums.

Isn't it more enjoying to see a bird fly than see it inside a cage sitting and looking at a distance? Wouldnt it be nice to see fishes in their natural habitat?Would it be better if we just free them and let them enjoy?

How would you feel if you were the ones put inside that enclosure?have you ever asked yourself?

These species were not made only to entertain us. God gave them life, let them enjoy it.

The Staff

I am the journalist….

People say i look too innocent. Is this the reason why they always want to take advantage of me? They say i dont look like my age. They often mistake me for a high school student. I dont know if i would accept it as a compliment or what.

I never find myself attractive. I always think i could never attract anybody, not even a frog. I had always lived a life of unacceptance. people never really accept me as i am. They only see what they want to see, but they never see what i want them to see. I want them to find me. To see me as i am. To see me as a person and not as an object. I want to be accepted for being me. I want to be part of the world that never gave me the chance to be myself.

I had always been compared to others. It hurts. Nothing hurts more than be compared to somebody else. They could never accept that i could never be anybody else. That i'm just me. im just the girl you see in that picture. Nothing more, nothing less.

I want to smile the way other people do. I want to laugh and be happy. With meaning, with feeling. I had never find a complete sense of happiness in my life. I had always been happy on the surface, but never on the inside.

I want to be accepted. I want to be loved. I want to be hug. yes, just a hug.

I love hugging people, it makes me feel a sense of belongingness. It makes me feel that somebody cares. But not too many people hugs me. Not even when im sad.

Im only 17, but im hiding secrets that are so dark. I dont know if  could keep it for so long. Im so young and i want to be like other people my age. Carefree and happy.

I am no more than the girl you see in that picture. I have simple dreams. I just want to be happy. I hope you wont be too selfish with that.

lately…

I am usually disoriented. I always find myself walking along a street not knowing where to go.

Is this how i live my life?Just walking, following where my feet would lead me?

Even a simple thing as choosing where to eat or what to eat would often take for hours to decide. Sometimes it often leads me not to eat at all because by the time i had decided,i no longer have enough time to eat.

Just lately, i had become the world's worse procastinator.

I guess if i could procastinate breathing, maybe i would also delay that one.

I procastinate on almost everything i do, then suffer, then regret.

Imagine, its monday and i still don't have an article to pass for the school paper.

its monday and im already disoriented.

its still monday and i dont know what to do.
